The Hexa material has become popular as it has a hexagonal pattern in it that gives good grip, it does not stretch, it should not become slippery in wet weather and it is waterproof and bacteria resistant! Hexa has a lower breaking point than Bio material.
Black fittings are not as resistant to chafing as silver or brass. This is because the black color is usually applied as a surface treatment or coating, which allows it to wear away under mechanical impact. Silver-colored rivets and brass rivets retain their natural colors, which makes them more resistant to chafing because they do not have an additional coating that can wear off.
