With a double ball, you have the opportunity to activate the dog's entire body. The dog can be trained sitting, lying down or standing on the ball, or leave the rear end on the floor. You can adjust the difficulty by increasing or decreasing the air in the ball. The less air there is in the ball, the greater the challenge for the dog.
Due to its elongated shape, the double ball is more stable than a round therapy ball because it only moves sideways. The dog can stretch its back and you can easily get close to the ball. It is important that you hold the ball firmly throughout the training session so that the dog does not fall and injure itself.
The double ball is excellent for rehabilitation exercises after an injury or surgery. All rehabilitation training should take place in consultation with a trained canine physiotherapist or veterinarian.
Practical information
When choosing the size of your double ball, you can measure the distance between the front and back paws when the dog is standing in a relaxed position on the floor. The important thing is not to choose a ball that is too small, because the dog is then forced to arch its back.
Distance front and back paws Length of the ball
Up to 35 cm 65 cm or longer
Up to 55 cm 80 cm or longer
Up to 65 cm 115 or longer
ATTENTION! The first time you inflate your ball, you may have to do it in stages. Pump up as far as it will go and let the ball rest for a couple of hours. Then repeat. Specified maximum dimensions must not be challenged. Use a pump with a plug valve or a compressor. Pump not included.
