The IQ dog sports vest is our bestseller for many reasons! Even the German police dog handlers wear a special version of it. Version 3.0 has two updates: 1. it already comes with a chest pocket lacing system (you no longer need to purchase this separately) and 2. it is the first vest compatible with our new IQ Magnet Bag!
Why is our vest a must for dog handlers?
Large front and back pockets
It has exactly the pockets you need: the pockets for treats are very large, while the back pocket offers enough space for your leashes and toys.
Convertible chest pocket (patented)
The vest comes with two conventional chest pockets (left and right). Combine them into a large pocket in the middle of your body to reward your dog for sitting in front or retrieving. If your dog learns that the reward is coming from the center of your body, it will wait for it in a perfectly focused position instead of looking or bending left and right.
Drawstrings for chest pocket
Increase your dog's focus even more by using our cords to open the chest pocket. Simply pull the string at your hips (do not leave your basic position) and the toy will drop down for your dog to catch. This will create higher expectations and expressions: many dogs enjoy the excitement that comes with a spontaneously dropped toy.
Compatible with IQ Magnet Bag (accessory)
The IQ Dogsport Vest 3.0 is compatible with our new IQ Magnet Bag. It's for you if you're working on your dog's heel position or his open expression.
The IQ Magnet Bag can be attached to the bottom of your left armhole: it is almost invisible (and even more so to your dog). Insert a ball or other small toy and close it easily with its magnetic closure. Whenever you are ready to reward your dog, pull the string on the right side and the toy will drop.
Why not just tuck a toy under your left arm like many have been doing for a long time? Because the dog knows exactly whether the toy is there or not and will not have reliable behavior for trials and competitions. To begin with, the dog can see the toy tucked under the arm. If you use a track flag, whip or position stick, please store it in the vest's "tailgate".
Magnetic pockets
If you practice with magnetic toys, use our magnetic pockets on the inside of our vest to keep them safe. In this way, it is enough to use only one magnet instead of two (easy way to save money). Plus, you won't accidentally drop the magnet. Something that happened to us a lot in the past when we had dogs that got the ball on their own at the release.
